We brought Déan Gourmet to “COMMOTION” 

 

Last month, Market Direct Distribution took part in "COMMOTION" by MMBSY, a curated press-day event held in Antwerp that gathered brands, creatives, media professionals, and industry guests in a space built for discovery, dialogue, and sensory experience.

We were there to introduce Déan Gourmet, our Mediterranean specialty food brand, to an audience that lives and breathes culture, taste, and trend. And the products did exactly what great food does best: they started conversations.

A journey through Mediterranean taste

At the heart of our presence was a hands-on tasting experience, a curated selection of Mediterranean specialties that captured everything Déan Gourmet stands for: authenticity, quality, and the kind of versatility that makes a table come alive.

Guests explored a range of products including labneh, za'atar, artisan jams, cheese varieties, pomegranate molasses, and herbal teas; each one a window into a rich culinary tradition.

To round out the experience, we paired these with premium ingredients from two trusted partners:

 Castania Premium: bringing texture and depth through their signature roasted nut selection

Al-Kanater Tahini: the backbone of our tahini-based Mediterranean preparations

 Together, they created something greater than the sum of their parts: a complete Mediterranean tasting journey rooted in craftsmanship and sensory storytelling.

COMMOTION was never just about showcasing products. It was about sparking real conversations around food culture, culinary heritage, premium ingredients, and the shifting tastes of modern consumers.

We collected genuine feedback from guests discovering these brands for the first time. And what we heard confirmed what we already believe: appetite for authentic Mediterranean food experiences in Belgium is growing and it's growing fast.
